Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineering Intern position based in our Poznań location to join the Data Science & Engineering team and gain hands‑on experience working with modern data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Assist in enhancing and maintaining the Data Lakehouse on Snowflake with new datasets
- Support the creation and organization of data models and transformations using DBT
- Help organize and improve data pipelines across multiple stages
- Contribute to automation of data processes to smoothly serve data to stakeholders
- Assist with monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions on our Databricks-based Factory Data Platform
- Participate in investigating and resolving common data pipeline issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand use cases
- Document data processes, schemas, and workflows
Qualifications
Must have
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- SQL – solid foundational knowledge (writing queries, joins, aggregations)
- Python – basic programming skills
- Basic understanding of relational databases
- English B2+ proficiency (working language of the team)
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive, can‑do attitude
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in an international team
Big Advantage
- Familiarity with Snowflake or any cloud data warehouse
- Familiarity with Databricks or Apache Spark (even from coursework)
- Exposure to DBT (data build tool)
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
- Exposure to Git/GitHub for version control
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.)
- Familiarity with any BI/visualization tool (e.g., PowerBI, Streamlit)
- Ability to use LLM tools to optimize your work (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker or containerization concepts
- Exposure to Airflow, Kafka, or other orchestration/streaming tools
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts
- Exposure to Jinja templating
- Experience with Azure or GCP services
Others
- Ability to work in Scrum or Kanban using Jira (or willingness to learn)
- Curiosity and ability to ask the right questions
- Willingness to work independently on tasks after initial guidance
- Openness to working in an international team across multiple time zones
