About the project

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant – SAP ECC to support implementation and development projects related to SAP application solutions, with a particular focus on finance and controlling processes.

The role will involve business requirements analysis, designing functional solutions, supporting SAP implementations and changes, and cooperating with external vendors and internal IT teams. The successful candidate will act as a subject-matter expert in the SAP Finance/Controlling area and contribute to the development of business concepts and target solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze and define business requirements and participate in SAP implementation and development projects.
• Cooperate with external vendors in the delivery of implementations, system changes and ongoing issue resolution.
• Work closely with teams responsible for SAP application maintenance and development.
• Co-create business concepts and functional solutions within the SAP FI/CO area.
• Verify business requirements and recommend optimal approaches for implementing changes and new solutions.
• Assess effort estimates, risks and the impact of planned changes on existing solutions and business processes.
• Support the design and implementation of solutions aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.

Our requirements

• 10+ years of experience working with SAP, including experience in at least one of the following modules: FI, CO, AA or RE.
• 5+ years of experience as an independent SAP Consultant in large enterprises, or experience as a project/stream leader in SAP implementation projects for large organizations.
• Very good knowledge of SAP configuration in at least one of the following finance-related areas: FI, CO, AA or RE.
• Proven experience in business requirements analysis and designing solution concepts for SAP implementations and system changes.
• Strong understanding of financial and controlling business processes.
• Ability to work independently and effectively cooperate with business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation projects is a nice to have, while strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC is required.
• Experience with financial and controlling data migration projects.
• Experience in defining business requirements and designing target-state finance and controlling process models.
• Experience in organizational change management.
• Experience in preparing business users for working in a new SAP environment.
