General Ledger Accountant (Italian speaking)

Your responsibilities

• Participate in knowledge transfer and migration of agreed activities from the local Finance team to the GL & Reporting organization
• Prepare and post special ledger entries under IFRS & local GAAP, including VAT clearing, and recurring journal entries such as audit fees and short-term incentives
• Perform fixed asset accounting activities, including master-data requests, physical-count support and disposals or leasing-related accounting
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts; calculate, post and document provisions
• Post and reconcile payroll, including review of payroll files and pension-related payments
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and drive the elimination of mismatches with relevant counterparties
• Support month-end close through accrual calculations and timely resolution of accounting issues
• Prepare data for corporate income tax returns, withholding tax filings, VAT returns, Intrastat and other indirect-tax or excise-tax deliverables within the agreed scope
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation and coordination of PWC requests submitted through Connect
• Provide selected R&D reporting and performance analysis support
• Maintain process documentation and controls, respond to stakeholder queries and contribute to standardization, automation and continuous improvement

Our requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or relevant accounting certification
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger, Record-to-Report or a comparable accounting role
• Must have: fluent written and spoken Italian
• Written and spoken English at least at B2 level
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of IFRS, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation and accounting controls
• Knowledge of INFOR LN will be an asset
• Experience in Shared Services/BPO, process migration, standardization or improvement will be an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and control compliance
• Ability to organize priorities and deliver reliably against monthly and statutory deadlines
• Clear communication and effective collaboration across local and international teams
• Ownership, accountability and willingness to investigate issues through resolution
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment
• Ability to business trip to Italy for knowledge transfer
• Positive attitude, service mindset and stakeholder focus
