US Tax Manager- BU Silica (M/F/X)

Your responsibilities
- Lead operational Sales & Use Tax compliance activities across multiple states, ensuring timely filings, payments, exemption certificate maintenance, and effective execution of recurring compliance processes
- Oversee and coordinate federal, state and local tax compliance requirements, including income tax, franchise tax, gross receipts tax and property tax matters, working closely with external tax providers and internal business partners to ensure obligations are completed accurately and on time
- Review and monitor quarterly estimated tax payments and annual filing requirements
- Coordinate tax accrual processes and support quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of all filing and payment obligations
- Establish clear ownership, accountability and escalation procedures for tax-related activities
- Monitor compliance risks and implement practical solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Procurement and Shared Services teams
- Collaborate with business teams to ensure tax-related requirements are incorporated into operational processes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external tax providers, consultants and tax authorities when required
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess potential business impact
Our requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field
- Knowledge of U.S. tax regulations
- 5+ years of experience in international tax compliance, accounting, finance or a related corporate environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience working with external tax advisors and cross-functional business teams
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Limited travel required
