Your responsibilities

• Managing all accounting operations of the Polish legal entity in line with the Polish Accounting Act
• Handling daily inquiries related to general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and fixed assets
• Overseeing general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, payroll accounting
• Calculating and evaluate the accruals and provisions
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules and coordinate with Controlling Team all investments
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings on time in accordance with local accounting standards and company policies
• Preparing and ensure accuracy for financial statements, VAT/CIT/PIT returns, and other regulatory reports
• Ensuring accurate reconciliations between accounts, tax returns, and group reporting
• Supporting monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Conducting variance analysis incl. KPI reporting and provide financial insights to management
• Aligning local financial statements with global reporting standards
• Coordinating statutory audits with external auditors
• Monitoring changes in Polish tax legislation and assess their impact on the company
• Supporting transfer pricing documentation and reporting obligations
• Maintaining and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and act as a finance partner to the business

Our requirements

• Master's degree in accounting or finance
• 3-4 years of experience as the Chief Accountant in a manufacturing company
• Strong knowledge of Polish GAAP, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements
• Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Comarch would be a plus) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

The role

We are looking for a Chief / Senior Accountant with solid experience in Polish accounting and tax regulations. This role is based in our Poznań team and focuses on end-to-end accounting for a Polish legal entity, ensuring full compliance with the Polish Accounting Act and local tax requirements, while supporting both local and group financial reporting.
