Your responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead statutory accounting and compliance for our Poland operations, based in Gliwice.

This role operates within a global shared services model, partnering closely with accounting teams in

the UK and transactional support teams in the US. The successful candidate will serve as the owner of the Poland legal entity financial integrity, ensuring compliance with local regulations while overseeing processes executed across multiple regions.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with Polish GAAP

• Maintain oversight of the Poland statutory books, including local statutory adjustments and

alignment with group reporting processes

• Own and manage the annual external audit process, acting as primary liaison with auditors

• Ensure compliance with all local legal, regulatory, and reporting requirements

• Oversee accounting activities impacting Poland performed by UK and US teams

• Review and approve journal entries affecting the Poland entity

• Act as escalation point to resolve cross-functional accounting issues

• Provide oversight of Poland-based A/P staff

• Partner with US shared services supporting A/P to ensure accurate processing and proper cut-off

• Maintain ownership of fixed asset accounting for Poland statutory books

• Oversee Poland VAT compliance in coordination with local tax resource

• Support broader Poland tax compliance activities, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, tax

authority queries, and coordination with Group Tax

• Ensure strong control environment across a multi-location process model

• Maintain oversight of key balance sheet accounts (accruals, inventory, fixed assets,

intercompany)

• Support audit readiness and internal control compliance (SOX/JSOX)

• Support UK-led month-end close process through review and approvals

Our requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, Fixed Assets and VAT (Poland)
• Excellent knowledge of Polish accounting regulations
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting (incl. GL & standard costing)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Very good English (B2/C1)
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently
• High attention to detail with a results-oriented approach
• Solid MS Office / Excel skills
