About the project

As AWS Data Senior Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing modern data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. Your work will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that data-driven insights are accessible, secure, and actionable. This role is critical to enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing business operations, directly impacting the company’s strategic objectives and technological advancement.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders (SPMs, Product Owners) to gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical designs and architectural solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies based on stakeholder requests, providing clear recommendations and technical assessments.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Requirements, High-Level and Low-Level Designs, Data Flow Diagrams, Test Cases, User/Admin Guides, and Troubleshooting Manuals.
• Support Product Owners and Scrum Masters in EPIC, User Story, and Task creation, including the definition of Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done.
• Ensure alignment with Ericsson TAMP/SAN Blueprints, Guidelines, and SAN Technology Radar.
• Collaborate with Security SPOCs to integrate security best practices (asset management, vulnerability management, data classification, compliance) into solutions.
• Provide ongoing support to development teams, offering design clarifications and facilitating knowledge sharing.
• Lead and participate in Security Assessments and ITSAC reviews.
• Perform Threat Modeling to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Support SCAS/EVMS registration and compliance activities.
• Assist operations teams in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
• Develop architecture roadmaps and identify areas for technological improvement.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in DWH/BI solutions and share knowledge within the team.

Our requirements

• Data Modeling: Expertise in selecting proper data types, optimizing database schemas (partitioning, indexing), and data governance.
• Data Lake Solutions: Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• BI Visualization: Proficient in Microsoft Power BI.
• Databases: Advanced hands-on experience with SQL-based databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake); strong SQL programming and database optimization skills.
• Cloud Solutions: Solid understanding of cloud services relevant to Big Data, preferably in AWS.
• Data Migration & Replication: Experience in migrating and replicating data between databases.
• ETL Processing: In-depth knowledge of data quality, preprocessing, normalization, and enrichment; hands-on experience with AWS Glue and AWS ecosystem for ETL; familiarity with orchestration tools such as Snowpipe and Apache Airflow.

Optional

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as Amazon Q.
• Advanced database administration and SQL query optimization/tuning.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles including automation, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), source code management, testing, monitoring, and Shift Left Security.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Proven track record in debugging integration processes and troubleshooting system performance issues.
