Expert Snowflake Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and modern data engineering technologies
• Analyze banking requirements related to Balance Sheet Stress Testing, scenario analysis, capital adequacy, liquidity and risk management
• Translate complex regulatory and financial requirements into scalable data solutions
• Collaborate with business analysts, Finance, Treasury, Risk and regulatory stakeholders to implement business logic
• Build and optimize data warehousing solutions for large-scale financial data aggregation, transformation and reporting
• Develop data models supporting stress testing simulations, statistical analysis and management reporting
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, lineage, governance and regulatory compliance
• Prepare and provision data for analytical, reporting and regulatory consumption layers
• Perform detailed data investigations, validation and reconciliation across multiple source systems
• Drive performance optimization, automation and continuous improvement of data platforms and processing frameworks

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL and large-scale data warehousing
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes in complex enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of banking data, including Balance Sheet Management, Stress Testing, Treasury, Liquidity, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management and Capital Adequacy Frameworks
• Proven experience in complex data analysis, validation, reconciliation and aggregation across multiple source systems
• Strong business analysis skills covering requirements gathering, process modeling, stakeholder management and translation of business needs into technical solutions
• Practical experience with statistical analysis and data preparation for analytical models
• Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks and regulatory requirements affecting banking data landscapes
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

• Experience with EBA, ECB, Basel, ICAAP, ILAAP or IRRBB regulatory and stress testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Data Vault, dimensional modeling and cloud-based data platforms
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting and data visualization tools
