About the project, We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to focus on platform modernization, decoupling initiatives, and engineering excellence within core English, Language Learning systems., This role is hands‑on and delivery‑driven. You will work on critical, long‑lived services, supporting modernization efforts while ensuring stability, scalability, and quality of core, platforms.The expectation is strong technical ownership, independent execution, and the ability to drive complex engineering work within an established product landscape.

Your responsibilities, Platform & Modernization:, , • Drive modernization of existing services (refactoring, decomposition, and technical debt reduction)., • Support decoupling of monolithic components into well‑defined, scalable services Improve -, maintainability, resilience, and observability of core platform components., • Contribute to architectural improvements aligned with long‑term platform strategy., , Software Engineering:, , • Design, implement, and evolve backend services using modern engineering practices., • Write high‑quality, well‑tested, production‑ready code., • Actively participate in technical design and decision‑making., • Review code and contribute to shared engineering standards., , Quality & Reliability:, , • Promote strong automated testing practices (unit, integration)., • Ensure production readiness, including operability, monitoring, and logging, • Participate in incident analysis and drive follow‑up technical improvements when required

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer on backend or platform systems., • Strong expertise in Java and modern backend development practices., • Experience with Spring Framework or other similar., • Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor or equivalent)., • Hands‑on experience modernizing legacy systems or monoliths., , Practical experience with:, , • Trunk‑based development., • CI/CD pipelines., • Automated testing strategies., • Solid understanding of cloud‑based architectures (AWS and/or Azure)., • Experience designing APIs and service‑to‑service communication., • Ability to operate independently and deliver results in a contractor model., , What We Value in This Role:, , • Strong ownership and accountability for engineering outcomes., • Pragmatic approach to modernization (incremental, safe, value‑driven)., • Clear technical reasoning and decision‑making., • Quality‑first mindset with a strong bias toward delivery.
