Your responsibilities

As part of your role as Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist (Asset Accounting), you will be responsible for preparing and carrying out group consolidation and/or the preparation of separate financial statements by:

Independently developing solution proposals for issues relating to group accounting or separate financial statements

Independently supporting group companies with questions relating to group accounting and statutory (local GAAP) financial statements

Coordinating and ensuring monthly reporting as well as quarterly and annual financial statement processes

The role will also include:

Initiating and driving cross-functional process optimizations and adjustments

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for asset accounting topics; supporting the resolution of complex accounting issues

Preparing reports, analyses, documents for the management board, supervisory board, and other stakeholders

Performing fixed asset accounting, including handling complex asset-related topics, as well as ensuring analysis and quality assurance of fixed assets

Analyzing financial data and identifying improvement opportunities; developing and implementing recommendations

Coordinating and participating in departmental and cross-functional projects; implementing process changes and collaborating with stakeholders

Conducting tests for FI-related IT systems, collaborating with Product Owners and Managers; analyzing business requirements and proposing system enhancements

Sharing knowledge within the team, supporting onboarding, and providing guidance and training to team members

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, Public Finance, Law, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or related areas
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including national and international accounting standards (e.g. IFRS, GAAP)
  • Solid understanding of finance, accounting, and business processes
  • Good knowledge of tax law and financial regulations
  • Experience with internal control systems and compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting obligations
  • Industry-specific knowledge and understanding of business environments
  • Hands-on experience with SAP module FI AA
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g., Power Query, pivot tables) and good command of PowerPoint
  • Fluent English skills (minimum B2, preferably C1)
  • Diligent, independent and systematic approach to work
