Senior / Expert Technical Artist (Frostpunk 1886)

This position requires working in hybrid model in our Warsaw office

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?

• Create high-quality materials and shaders in UE5.
• Build and maintain Blueprint- and code-based tools for the art team.
• Create and update documentation for tools, workflows, and engine limitations.
• Help with optimization, profiling, and debugging in the final product.
• Work with Art Leads, Technical Directors, programmers, and QA to make sure assets meet technical requirements.

Job requirements

What will help you succeed in this role?

For a senior position:

• Good knowledge of UE materials and shading workflows.
• Solid understanding of the UE5 rendering pipeline, including PBR and post-processing.
• Experience with UE Blueprints for tools or gameplay-supporting systems.
• Practical approach to problem-solving and a good understanding of optimization.
• At least one shipped title or completed commercial project.

For an expert position, we also require:

• Deep, production-proven knowledge of UE5 materials, shaders, and rendering.
• Experience designing scalable material, shader, and technical art workflows.
• Strong understanding of GPU performance, profiling, and optimization.
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical and visual problems and drive them to resolution.
• Experience mentoring other artists and defining technical best practices.
