Workday Systems Specialist

Responsibilities
- Provides production support for Workday, including researching and resolving issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities such as system updates and audits; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Supports interfaces between Workday and other systems, including internal and external targets such as benefits and payroll vendor integrations.
- Supports HRIS related projects, including Workday twice‑yearly releases and future system implementations.
- Supports major HR initiatives such as setups for new Workday functionality or integrations and mergers and acquisitions by preparing the system through requirements documentation, data gathering, and system loads.
- Serves as a technical "super user" and administrator of Workday to identify best practices, assess functionality and system requirements, and recommend process improvements.
- Works closely with IT support teams (internal and external) to ensure adherence to Solenis policies and procedures, completion of assigned tasks, and provide guidance where applicable.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience: 5-8 years HR Systems experience, 3-5 years of Workday experience.
- Knowledge: Expertise in Workday Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, US Payroll, Canadian Payroll, Payroll Interface, Absence Management, Recruiting, Learning; beneficial but not required. Expertise with Workday technology and integrations including Workday Studio, Web Services, API, Cloud Connect, PECI, PICOF, Global Payroll Connect, EIB.
- Understanding of HR processes including system design, structure, and functions.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint); SQL and XSLT experience preferred.
- Previous exposure to project‑related activities through active participation in system‑related projects.
- Workday Certification in any HCM/technical area desired but not required.
- Behavioral & Technical Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, strong organization/project management skills, ability to manage multiple assignments/projects, demonstrate ability to mitigate risks, integrator and solution provider, sound judgment and confidentiality, teamwork, strong verbal and written communication, experience delivering presentations to various levels of management.
- International, global experience preferred.
