About the project

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to join our team on a 0.5 FTE basis. This remote role focuses on designing and delivering advanced data engineering solutions within the Azure ecosystem, using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies to enable reliable, scalable data integration and analytics.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Microsoft Azure services.
• Implement and optimize solutions with Microsoft Fabric to support data integration, transformation, and analytics.
• Build robust, secure, and scalable data solutions leveraging Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT processes, and other data processing workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver efficient, production-ready solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance are maintained across the data lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and promote best practices in Azure data engineering.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating new tools and technologies and suggesting pragmatic adoption paths.

Our requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and related data integration technologies.
• Proficiency with PySpark and experience with Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
