Business Analyst – Data Handling & Harmonization Location & Work Model Łódź or Warsaw Hybrid work – 2/3 days per week from the office Project Start ASAP Language English (daily communication) About the role We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support large-scale data handling and harmonization initiatives within a regulatory reporting environment. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define data structures, document data lineage, analyze ETL processes, and support the delivery of high-quality reporting solutions. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience with large datasets, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams. Responsibilities Analyze and harmonize large data sets across multiple systems Define and document data structures, metadata, and ETL flows Gather, analyze, and document business requirements Support the functional design of end-to-end reporting solutions Analyze data lineage and ensure data quality and consistency Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to clarify and validate requirements Support regulatory reporting initiatives and reporting quality improvements Work with databases and reporting tools to analyze and validate data Maintain project documentation and track requirements using Jira Contribute to process improvements and leverage AI to increase efficiency Requirements (must-have) 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst Strong SQL skills Experience working with large datasets Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server Experience documenting data structures, metadata, and ETL processes Understanding of data lineage and end-to-end data flows Experience gathering and documenting business requirements Good knowledge of accounting and balance sheet structures Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. CRR, BCBS239) Experience delivering reporting or BI solutions Experience working with Jira Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Fluent English Nice to have Experience with reporting platforms and calculation engines Experience with BI tools Experience using AI tools to improve analytical work and productivity Banking or financial services background What we offer Opportunity to work on strategic regulatory reporting initiatives International and collaborative environment Exposure to complex enterprise data platforms Long-term project within the financial sector Opportunity to work with modern data and reporting solutions
