Infrastructure Project Manager

ARK Solution is seeking an experienced and driven IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of an enterprise-scale AWS WorkSpaces / WorkSpaces Applications implementation. This role will be responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and compliant virtual desktop solutions across a global environment, supporting both engineering and knowledge worker use cases. The program includes GPU-enabled workloads, integration with enterprise identity and security frameworks, and coordination across multiple regions.

Role Overview

Responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of AWS WorkSpaces program.

Key Objectives of the Role

• Drive successful planning, execution, and delivery of AWS WorkSpaces program.
• Align business, IT, security, and vendor stakeholders.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and compliance requirements.
• Establish transparent governance and reporting processes.

Technical Coordination (Hands-On PM – Not Architect)

• Act as primary interface between business and technical teams.
• Coordinate with cloud engineering, infrastructure & networking, identity & access management, security & compliance, and end user computing / workplace teams.

Coordinate delivery across:

• AWS WorkSpaces / WorkSpaces Applications.
• Active Directory / identity integration.
• Networking (VPC, connectivity, latency).
• Image lifecycle and automation pipelines.

Track dependencies related to:

• Antivirus and endpoint security.
• CMDB and asset management.
• Monitoring and operational readiness.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Manage external delivery partners.
• Review and govern delivery plans, resource assignments, change requests.
• Ensure delivery as per scope, quality, and timelines.
• Facilitate workshops, deep dives, and design reviews.

Risk, Issue & Compliance Management

• Identify and manage technical risks (performance, scalability, security).
• Organizational risks (ownership gaps, readiness).Compliance risks (data residency, audit, regulatory).
• Maintain risk and issue log.
• Drive mitigation and escalation when required.
• Ensure traceability of decisions.

Operational Readiness & Handover

• Coordinate readiness for pilot rollout, production go-live, support model and ownership.
• Ensure delivery of documentation, knowledge transfer, training materials (if applicable), support transition to steady-state operations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as IT Project Manager.
• Experience in infrastructure or cloud programs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS-based initiatives.
• Experience in virtual desktops (AWS WorkSpaces, AppStream, or similar).
• End-user computing platforms experience.
• Experience in global, multi-stakeholder environments.

Preferred Experience

• Engineering or CAD-based virtual desktop environments.
• GPU workloads in cloud.

• Understanding of cloud governance and cost management.
• Certifications like PMP / PRINCE2 preferred.
