Commissioning Engineer – Port & Terminal Systems (f/m/x)

Your responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and start-up activities for port and terminal equipment and systems
• Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including I/O Checks, Loop Checks, and SATs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues during commissioning activities
• Optimize system performance and support the handover of installations to operational teams
• Verify installation compliance against technical documentation, electrical schematics, and project requirements
• Cooperate with automation, electrical, mechanical, and customer teams during project execution
• Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation

Our requirements

• Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
• At least 4 years of experience in commissioning industrial equipment, machinery, production lines, or automation systems
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and industrial control systems
• Experience with commissioning, testing, and technical acceptance activities
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English for working in an international environment
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on international assignments (70–80% of working time)
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required

Job Description

Join Sii and take part in international projects delivered for a global leader in port infrastructure, logistics, and terminal automation solutions. We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and optimizing advanced port and terminal systems worldwide.

This position involves extensive international travel, with approximately 80% of working time spent on-site at customer locations across Europe and worldwide.
