Data Administration Team Leader

Vesuvius are seeking a Data Administrator Team Leader to lead a newly-created team of Data Administrators. This position combines hands-on data management and analysis expertise with team leadership responsibilities. It drives continuous improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardization, and business performance, while supporting organizational objectives through effective data management practices.

The role ensures data quality, compliance, and process excellence while leading and developing a high-performing team. Prior experience in master data management is compulsory for the role. Experience managing teams is a nice-to-have, but we are open to Senior Master Data Specialists looking to gain their first experience in people management.

Responsibilities:

• Master data management: Manage and maintain Customer, Product, and Pricing Master Data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across business systems.
• Reporting and Analysis: Support business functions through regular and ad-hoc data analysis, reporting, data validation, and preparation of various datasets to meet operational and strategic requirements.
• Data Entry and Management: Perform accurate and efficient data entry and management tasks using tools like SAP, JDE, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to company-specific data protocols and data privacy regulations, maintaining the highest standards of security.
• Advanced Tool Integration: Leverage Office 365 tools as well as ERP for complex data tasks and integrate them into broader organizational processes.
• Innovation and Automation: Drive innovation and automation initiatives, including RPA solutions, to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve efficiency and data quality.
• Leadership Development: Coordinate the work of the Data Analysts Team, mentor junior team members, guide projects, and support strategic initiatives as expertise grows.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and project management.
    • Experience in a similar role incorporating both technical and leadership aspects
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint as well as ERP systems (such as JDE and SAP)
    • Strong ability to manage and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
