Transportation Management (TM) Consultant

Summary The core purpose of this role is to provide expertise in SAP Transportation Management, ensuring efficient shipment planning and execution while integrating various logistics modules to enhance overall transportation processes within the organization. Main Responsibilities: Manage shipment planning, consolidation, and execution using SAP Transportation Management. Oversee freight costing, billing, and carrier/tender management. Facilitate integration between TM and Sales/Warehouse modules. Optimize transportation mode selection and routing. Ensure compliance with transportation reporting and documentation standards. Design logistics networks effectively. Blueprint functional specifications and help manuals while crafting test scripts. Support large-scale transportation management implementation projects. Perform root cause analysis for shipment and logistics challenges. Directly communicate with business users to resolve transportation issues. Understand and clarify business requirements from the client's perspective. Collaborate effectively in group settings. Demonstrate results-oriented work ethic and ownership of tasks. Handle multiple tasks and expectations concurrently, while maintaining fundamental domain knowledge. Exhibit strong communication skills throughout engagements. Key Requirements: 8 to 12 years of experience in SAP Transportation Management consulting. Proficient in blueprinting and writing functional specifications, help manuals, and test scripts. Experience supporting large-scale transportation management implementations. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of logistics issues. Exceptional communication skills to interact directly with business users. Nice to Have: Knowledge of logistics network design. Experience with transportation mode selection and routing optimization. Familiarity with transportation compliance documentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team domain. Results-oriented mindset and strong ownership of tasks.
