Software Engineer AI Team

Responsibilities

• Develop and serve new platforms for AI solutions and improve existing Snowflake AI functionality.
• Solve complex and ambiguous technical problems through creative and effective approaches.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and business teams to shape short- and long-term product strategy.
• Build scalable, production-quality software and SDKs or web service APIs.
• Mentor less experienced engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Communicate results and complex concepts to leadership and lead teams when required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience writing production-quality scalable code using backend languages, preferably Go, Java, C++, or Python.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as AI/ML, computer science, data science, physics, or mathematics; an MSc or PhD is a plus.
• Professional-level experience building SDKs and web service APIs using REST or gRPC.
• Experience with programming, testing, version control, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and agile development practices.
• Ability to formulate problems from abstract information, work independently and collaboratively, and articulate complex results to leadership.
• Hands-on MLOps experience, such as deploying machine learning models, is strongly preferred.
