About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer based in our Poznań or Hedehusene locations to join the Sustainable Melting team at ROCKWOOL. The role focuses on the Medium Voltage scope across all project phases – from initial specifications and design to testing, commissioning and after‑service – for projects converting fossil fuels to green electricity, including rebuilds of existing factories and construction of new facilities worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the Medium Voltage scope within the melting area through all project phases.
- Work on projects related to the conversion from fossil fuels to green electricity, managing rebuilds and new construction.
- Act in projects or manage project activities when others work on your behalf.
- Take the lead on design and provide sparring to programme and factory management to ensure optimal solutions.
- Strive to improve design and quality of solutions based on the latest knowledge and by building strong supplier relationships.
- Travel 60–80 days per year, primarily within Europe.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Medium Voltage systems, preferably in industrial or power‑related projects.
- Knowledge of electrical design and documentation, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and MV distribution layout and specification.
- Experience with network analysis, including short‑circuit, load‑flow calculations and relay settings.
- Understanding of transformer specifications and power conversion technologies.
- Familiarity with control interfaces and integration between systems.
- Knowledge of installation logic, procedures and project planning.
- Ability to communicate efficiently in English in an international environment, with fluent written and verbal skills.
