About the project

We are seeking a Product Owner with expertise in ServiceNow to assume ownership of the ServiceNow CMDB vision, roadmap and development. The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring the CMDB evolves into the single source of truth for configuration data across the enterprise. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, architects and technical teams to advance governance, improve data quality and deliver continuous enhancement of the ServiceNow CMDB landscape.

Your responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Drive adoption of CMDB practices and alignment with enterprise objectives.
• Ensure the CMDB functions as the single source of truth for configuration data across the organisation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution and enterprise architects, and technical delivery teams to define priorities and requirements.
• Support and enforce governance processes and standards for CMDB data quality.
• Identify and implement data quality improvements, validation rules and reconciliation processes.
• Define and prioritise the CMDB backlog, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and delivery plans.
• Coordinate integration approaches and interface requirements with external systems and data sources.
• Monitor performance of CMDB initiatives and report progress to relevant governance bodies.

Our requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role within enterprise IT environments.
• Deep practical knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and its configuration.
• Strong understanding of CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
• Familiarity with ITIL configuration management principles.
• Experience with data modelling and data quality management practices.
• Understanding of common integration patterns and approaches for enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and how CMDB supports architecture objectives.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across organisations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Optional

• Relevant certifications or formal education in IT, information systems or related disciplines are advantageous.
