Your responsibilities

Overall Purpose of the Role

As a member of the Regional Recruitment Team, the Offshore Recruitment Officer is responsible for providing efficient and effective recruitment services to meet the hiring requirements of our customers.

A key responsibility of this role is to work closely with other recruitment team members to continuously attract and build a strong pipeline of high-calibre candidates for V. seafaring pools, with a particular focus on Junior Officers and Ratings.

The role combines proactive talent sourcing, candidate relationship management and end-to-end recruitment coordination, while ensuring high standards of compliance, data accuracy and candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

o Proactively plans and implements short-, middle- and long-term recruitment under support and supervision of Recruitment Manager / Global Recruitment Manager – Offshore

o Performs active and passive sourcing of candidates using internal recruitment database and approved channels, tools, platforms, social media, job-boards

o Maintains contact with Officers who left company or are in the market

o Expands recruitment database (talent pool) through networking, advertising and active sourcing

o Facilitates and supports local and international recruitment events, including crew events and school events

o Ensures records in recruitment systems and databases are correct and up-to-date and candidate profiles reflect verified information (availability date, expected wage, skills and competencies)

o Discusses offers with shortlisted candidates

o Arranges recruitment screening, tests, interviews, document and experience verification, background checks, and profile updates as required

o Submits compliant and timely proposals of seafarers to Offshore CMPs and reviews candidate’s status until Joined

o Attends one-to-one and team meetings held by local recruitment team leadership

o Supports new and junior recruitment team members with quick onboarding

o Deputizes for Senior Recruitment Officer

o Performs within defined KPIs, PIs and productivity ratios

o Collaborates with recruitment colleagues from other locations and other business functions (e.g. CMMs, CCs, assessors)

o Escalates critical and urgent cases to Recruitment Manager or Global Recruitment Manager – Offshore

o Captures and records market intelligence for local and international seagoing manpower supply marketplace

o Undertakes hiring activities observing local employment legislation, international conventions and regulations, company ethics, policies, processes and Recruitment Strategy

o Performs other recruitment-related duties assigned by the line manager

Our requirements

• Min 2-3 yrs of relevant experience in a similar role in Offshore Industry
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
• Thorough awareness and good understanding of cultural and diversity issues
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Proven ability to work to, and meet, tight deadlines
• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree from any field
• Good computer operating skills including word processing and spreadsheet experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels
• Keen attention to details
