Senior Software Engineer

For one of our Clients operating in the global financial services sector, we are seeking talented professionals to join long-term strategic initiatives.

The role is a hands-on development role foremost, delivering security services and libraries to address recognised cross cutting capabilities. Their contributions are expected to exemplify the high standards we help define

Ideal candidate should have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with clear business-level English and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a polyglot mindset; proven ability to deliver in more than one language and ecosystem.
  
• Experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot is desirable, but not essential. Candidates strong in other languages and motivated to learn Java are welcome.
  
• Strong grasp of functional, non-blocking, asynchronous programming. Comfort working with modern concurrency models and reactive approaches.
  
• Experience with security software. Exposure to secure engineering practices and security-focused tooling (desirable).
  
• Hands-on cloud experience. Practical capability designing, building, and operating workloads in the cloud.
  
• Strong testing approach selection skills. Sound judgement applying the right testing techniques for the context (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end).
  
• Performance testing knowledge (nice to have). Familiarity with performance test design, execution, and interpretation of results.
  
• API security at scale experience (beneficial). Knowledge of securing high-volume APIs, including authentication, authorisation, and threat mitigation.
  
• High attention to detail. Consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and maintainability.
