Quantum Project Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Kraków (preferred) or Warsaw, Poland

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager / Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of initiatives focused on Quantum Technologies and quantum-safe transformation .

In this role, you will coordinate multiple technology workstreams, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, with clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and strong governance. You will work closely with Product Owners, engineering and technology teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to drive delivery, resolve dependencies, and remove impediments.

The role combines Agile delivery management, programme coordination, stakeholder management, and cybersecurity-focused transformation , making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, delivery, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery Leadership

• Lead the delivery of Quantum Technology and quantum-safe initiatives using Agile methodologies.

• Create and maintain delivery plans, sprint and release milestones, RAID logs, and delivery metrics.

• Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams and ensure consistent ways of working.

• Monitor progress against agreed objectives, milestones, and key results.

• Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers and manage dependencies across technology, architecture, procurement, and external vendors.

Governance and Delivery Management

• Ensure projects are delivered in line with governance, risk, and control requirements.

• Coordinate key decisions, escalations, and approvals.

• Maintain clear delivery documentation and audit trails.

• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and management information for governance and senior stakeholders.

• Ensure transparency of delivery status, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Backlog and Prioritisation

• Work closely with Product Owners and delivery teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable backlogs and delivery roadmaps.

• Facilitate prioritisation based on business and technology risks.

• Maintain a clear view of delivery commitments, sequencing, dependencies, and team capacity.

• Support teams in defining realistic delivery plans and milestones.

Stakeholder and Dependency Management

• Build effective relationships with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Coordinate cross-team and cross-technology dependencies.

• Communicate delivery progress, risks, issues, and required decisions clearly and effectively.

• Coordinate activities involving third-party technology and engineering vendors.

• Ensure external partner activities are aligned with project objectives and delivery timelines.

Quantum Technologies Delivery

Depending on the assignment, you may be responsible for delivering initiatives across areas such as:

• Quantum-safe transformation and post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

• Quantum risk assessment and prioritisation.

• Technology discovery and inventory.

• Cryptography modernisation and crypto-agility.

• Migration planning and implementation.

• PKI, TLS, and related security technology uplift.

• Security policies, standards, and technical guardrails.

• Vendor alignment and technology ecosystem readiness.

• Mitigation and remediation initiatives.

• Enablement and training.

• Innovation, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and controlled pilot deployments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role within complex technology programmes.

• Strong practical knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and ways of working.

• Experience managing delivery in regulated or highly controlled environments.

• Strong project and delivery management skills, including planning, RAID management, dependency mapping, milestone tracking, and benefits tracking.

• Advanced knowledge of Jira and strong reporting / management information capabilities.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.

• A proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving blockers, and driving delivery forward.

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering quantum-safe, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), cryptography modernisation, PKI, TLS, or IPsec initiatives.

• Experience in cybersecurity engineering or technology transformation.

• Experience working in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.

• Experience coordinating vendor-led technology or engineering deliveries.

• Understanding of procurement and commercial processes within Agile delivery environments.

• Experience working with emerging or deep technologies.
