  What we expect from you:

• Strong understanding of hierarchical data, nested structures, XML/JSON/YAML , and modeling principles.

• Experience designing schemas in large, multi‑team environments .

• Ability to work with Python or TypeScript to express logic and communicate with engineers.

• Practical experience with OpenAPI 3.0 / Swagger and API‑driven ecosystems.

• Ability to translate UX, business flows, and requirements into clean data contracts.

• Clear, structured communication in English — able to lead conversations with diverse stakeholders.

• Ownership mindset: structured, consistent, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.

• Calm, analytical approach in high‑pressure, high‑visibility environments.

• EU residency.

Nice to have:

• Schema validation (XSD / JSON Schema), versioning, backward compatibility.

• Experience in event‑tech, media, or sports‑tech ecosystems.

• Strong technical writing skills.

Your future role

Own the data. Shape the standards. Drive how systems communicate at scale.

What will be your role:

• End‑to‑end ownership of data domains critical to Olympic operations and digital products.

• Definition of conceptual and logical data models that guide product strategy and engineering design.

• Design of scalable XML/JSON/YAML structures that support multi‑team development and long‑term maintainability.

• Creation and governance of REST API contracts (OpenAPI 3.0) that ensure alignment across all teams.

• Translation of business flows, UX journeys, and product requirements into precise data interactions.

• Assessment of cross‑system impact and clear articulation of risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs.

• Driving alignment across stakeholders — backend, frontend, UX, QA, product, and architecture.

• Setting and enforcing standards for naming, versioning, documentation, and data quality.

• Challenging and reviewing models and APIs to ensure consistency, scalability, and clarity.

• Leading conversations on edge cases, governance, and architectural direction in a complex environment.
