Junior Embedded Software Designer

The objective of the job of Embedded Software Designer is to ensure adequate design, development and maintenance of embedded software solutions for machine systems and related Windows applications. The Embedded Software Designer reports hierarchical and operational to his/her Engineering Superior (Engineering Manager or Technical Coordinator) within the Engineering Department.

Requirements

• Technical education (Engineering, Computer Science or similar)
• Experience in ARM and H8 embedded development
• Experience in Windows application development
• Strong C++ programming skills
• Ability to select development environments independently
• Basic English language skills (spoken and written)
• Interest in machines and industrial systems
• Accurate, structured and problem-solving mindset
• 1+ years of experience in comparable position

Responsibilities

The Embedded Software Designer is responsible for performing the activities according to the instructions. The person is responsible for correct execution of the instructed activities as mentioned above. The Embedded Software Designer is authorised to have relevant consultation with various departments and external partners.

The main task of the Embedded Software Designer can be listed as follows:

• Performing activities in accordance with instructions
• Development of embedded software for ARM and H8 platforms
• Development of Windows applications supporting machine systems
• Implementation of software solutions in C++
• Selection and configuration of development environments (editors, compilers, runtime systems)
• Debugging, testing and validation of software solutions
• Cooperation with engineering, production and technical departments
• Documentation of software and development processes
• Participation in continuous improvement of software development standards
• All other activities applicable for the support of engineering and product development
