Data Engineer - Snowflake / dbt (Full Remote Contract)

About the project, Long-term project for a U.S.-based education services provider supporting online and campus-based post-secondary education programs., , Client works with learning management systems, student enrollment platforms, and academic operations across web and mobile solutions

Your responsibilities, Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory, Build and optimize dimensional data models for analytics and reporting, Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture in Snowflake (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers), Develop reliable ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflows, Improve data modeling standards and identify areas for optimization, Collaborate with engineering and business teams using Jira and GitHub, Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across analytics solutions

Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt (required), Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and Azure Data Factory, Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Dimensional Data Modeling, and ETL/ELT concepts and best practices, Experience building production-grade data pipelines and analytics solutions, Familiarity with GitHub and Jira-based development workflows, Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment, Ability to work with at least 4 hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time

Optional, Experience with Power BI, Experience integrating Salesforce data, Previous experience in higher education or ed-tech environments
