Senior Baseband System Developer
Ericsson
What you’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in communications theory and digital signal processingStrong knowledge of NR system design, especially Physical Layer, RRM and AAS/M-MIMOSolid understanding of L1 channel processing (DL/UL algorithms)Experience developing software for physical-layer and radio network simulations (modeling and analysis)Proficiency in one or more of Java, MATLAB, C/C++ and PythonFamiliarity with 3GPP NR specifications and NR software design principlesMSc or PhD from a technical university At Ericsson you’ll be empowered to learn, lead, and perform at your best while shaping the next generation of connectivity. We welcome you as your full, authentic self and celebrate the skills, creativity and perspectives you bring to the team. We’re looking for experienced, curious telecom engineers to join our Radio Baseband Software team. You’ll work on system-level design and performance of NR and 6G products focusing on the physical layer, AAS/M-MIMO and radio resource management. This is a chance to influence real products, validate algorithms in realistic simulations, and help evolve wireless systems worldwide. Your system specifications, architecture descriptions, and design artifacts will soon be consumed directly by AI agents that support software development. These agents will use your system-level definitions to generate, validate, and optimize code, making your work the foundation of automated, AI-assisted development flows. Clear, consistent, and unambiguous requirements — backed by strong systems thinking — are essential, since your documentation must be machine-interpretable and convey product behavior, constraints, and intent. As a System Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring correctness, scalability, and long-term maintainability of AI-enabled products.
