Ad Operations Manager

Type: Full‑time contractor

Location: Remote (flexible timezone, some overlap with US hours required)

Reports to: Head of Media Buying (interim: CEO)

About Us

We are a fast‑growing direct‑response e‑commerce company in the health and wellness space, spending multiple six figures per day on paid advertising across Meta, YouTube, AppLovin, and other platforms. Our growth is driven by data, speed, and relentless iteration. We are building a world‑class media buying operation and need someone to own the technical infrastructure that makes it all work.

The Role

You will own the technical backbone of our advertising operation. This means everything behind the scenes that ensures our ads are tracking correctly, our data is accurate, our funnels are connected, and our team can trust the numbers they see. When something breaks at 2am on a Saturday, you are the person who knows about it before anyone else does — because you built the system that catches it.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Monitoring and maintaining pixel health, event tracking, and conversion API integrations across all advertising platforms (Meta, Google, YouTube, AppLovin, and others as we expand).
  • Building automated alerting systems so that tracking issues, funnel breaks, and performance anomalies are caught in minutes, not hours.
  • Setting up and configuring new platform pixels and tracking integrations as we expand into new channels.
  • Managing ad account administration: billing, credit card rotations, account health, policy compliance alerts.
  • Ensuring accurate attribution and event data quality across all channels — auditing regularly and fixing issues proactively.
  • Resolving platform‑specific technical issues (e.g., blocked parameter warnings from Meta, event quality reviews).
  • Owning weekend and off‑hours monitoring through automated systems and documented on‑call protocols.
  • Working closely with our engineering team on data pipeline integrity and our media buying team on tracking requirements.
  • Documenting all systems, processes, and troubleshooting playbooks so the team can scale without single points of failure.

You Are a Great Fit If

  • You have 3+ years of hands‑on experience with ad platform pixels, CAPI/server‑side tracking, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking at scale.
  • You have worked at a performance marketing agency or DTC brand spending $10K+/day on paid ads.
  • You can diagnose a broken pixel or attribution issue faster than most people can describe the problem.
  • You think in systems and automation — your first instinct is to build alerts and monitoring, not check dashboards manually.
  • You are comfortable with AI tools and actively use them to work faster and smarter.
  • You are proactive and take ownership — you do not wait for someone to tell you something is broken.
  • You communicate clearly and document everything so the team can operate without you being in every conversation.
