About the project

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an international e-invoicing project. In this role, you will develop a solution that retrieves invoices via an external API, validates their content, and automatically routes them to the appropriate downstream systems, such as procurement platforms. You will work with Databricks Apps to create a robust backend and provide operational UI support for monitoring processing status and errors. This remote position allows you to collaborate with a skilled team while contributing to a significant project in the field of e-invoicing.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and implementing data workflows within Databricks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Developing backend logic in Python for content validation and API integration
• Creating and managing APIs, including REST and OAuth 2.0, to facilitate data exchange
• Building user interfaces using React.js or Streamlit to enhance the operational UI of the Databricks App
• Implementing CI/CD practices to streamline deployment processes and ensure code quality
• Utilizing Git for version control and collaboration with the development team
• Conducting unit and integration testing to ensure the robustness of the solution
• Monitoring application performance and logging errors for continuous improvement

Our requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering or software development
• Strong expertise in Databricks, including Apps, Workflows, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog
• Proficiency in Python for backend development, routing, and API integration
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth 2.0
• Solid understanding of frontend development using React.js or Streamlit
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes for effective version control and deployment
• Advanced level of English
• Availability to start no later than mid-October is required
