Job Overview
As an Accounts Payable Specialist at MKS (Atotech), you will collaborate closely with Procurement, Internal Teams, Cluster Heads, vendors, and more to ensure accurate invoice processing, account reconciliation, and adherence to internal controls. Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Team Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining efficient and compliant AP operations.
Responsibilities
- Verification and posting of incoming invoices with (PO) and without (non‑PO) reference to a purchase order.
- Handling vendor correspondence, payment reminders, and internal inquiries.
- Close cooperation with internal interfaces: Purchasing, Logistics, and Controlling.
- Creation and maintenance of vendor master records in accordance with internal guidelines.
- Analysis and maintenance of AP‑related accounts.
- Support implementation of process and system changes and maintenance of process documentation.
- Monitoring and management of standing orders/direct debits.
- Support implementation and conduct internal financial & SOX controls.
- Preparation of documentation for auditors.
- Support integration of further European legal entities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a multi‑entity environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle or SAP.
- Fluency in English and Polish.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal customers and external vendors.
- A meticulous, detail‑oriented, and organized approach to work, with an ability to document processes clearly. Preferred Qualifications:
- A global perspective on accounting and business processes, particularly valuable if gained from other accounting firms.
- Good command of the German language.
