Material Engineer

YOUR ROLE

• Developing and verifying formulations of polymeric compositions in line with Versigent requirements;
• Improving existing formulations and implementing new material formulations for automotive cable extrusion;
• Maintaining technical documentation;
• Suggesting product changes to ensure compliance with customer and environmental requirements;
• Coordinating and conducting tests according to customer specifications and international standards;
• Performing non-standard or ad hoc tasks and tests;
• Creating, collecting, entering, storing, and maintaining product and manufacturing documentation (data, drawings, specifications, etc.) in both divisional (Global Shared Data database) and local databases;
• Maintaining, controlling, and creating M-specifications for bulk materials (tapes, tubes, cables, etc.);
• Organizing and maintaining contact with engineers from plants, other technical centers, and Customer Service teams in E/EA;
• Cooperating with hardware, material, and cable engineers located in other regions or involved in the M-specification release process;
• Communicating with and developing relationships with Versigent suppliers;
• Understanding and applying quality systems;
• Complying with Internal Control and HSE standards;
• Prioritizing tasks and reporting progress to the Supervisor;
• Ensuring timely execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the quality system applicable to Versigent Corporation and the Technical Center in Kraków.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Technical university degree – preferably Chemistry, Material scientist or related;
• Minimum 3 year professional experience;
• Very good Microsoft Office skills;
• Familiarity with general technical/material documentation and standards;
• Fluent English; German/French in addition would be an asset;
• Knowledge of plastics processing;
• Ability to work as a team member;
