About our team

Welcome to the Settlement DK team. We add value by ensuring the timely settlement of a wide range of securities products on the Danish market. We work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

As the Service Operations Officer, you'll play an important role in our daily deliveries while also contributing to development initiatives and process improvements that help reduce risk and complexity.  

We are continuously looking for smarter ways of working and are increasingly leveraging AI, automation and Microsoft Copilot to improve efficiency, quality and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities in this role: 

• Settling equities and bonds for Nordea Markets and Retail customers in Denmark
• Investigating and resolving issues that arise throughout the settlement process
• Driving continuous improvements to strengthen quality, efficiency and risk management
• Delivering excellent service to clients, counterparties and internal stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with colleagues across our teams in Denmark and Poland

You will be joining a team of experienced professionals located in Taastrup, Denmark and Łódź, Poland.

• Take ownership and proactively resolve operational issues
• Are service-minded and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes
• Have an interest in AI, automation and Microsoft Copilot and are motivated to explore how technology can simplify work, improve quality and reduce operational risk. Experience with these tools is considered an advantage
• Are eager to learn and continuously develop your skills

It would be ideal if you also: 

• Experience from back-office, settlements, operations or other financial services roles is an advantage but not a requirement
• Bachelor's or Master's degree within Finance, Economics, Business or similar is an advantage
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem solving
• Attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the wider business context
