Position: Bilingual Polish STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50–$54/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Polish across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Collaborate with AI teams to ensure models handle specialized technical topics in Polish safely.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model safety.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Polish and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Poland or Eastern Europe.
• Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.
• Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis or molecular biology.
• Research or coursework on chemical safety and security.
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
