Recruitment for

our Client, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead to join an international logistics operations team and manage a Sea Freight Execution function supporting global transportation activities.

This role combines people management with operational responsibility. You will lead a team responsible for sea freight execution processes, ensure high service quality, support process optimization, and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the organization. The position requires both leadership capabilities and hands-on involvement in day-to-day logistics operations.

Your responsibilities

• Lead, organize and coordinate the daily work of a Sea Freight Execution team.
• Monitor workload distribution, priorities, deadlines, and operational performance.
• Ensure high-quality execution of shipping documentation, system updates, invoicing activities, shipment tracking, and operational controls.
• Support and develop team members through coaching, onboarding, training, and regular feedback.
• Act as the main operational contact between internal stakeholders and the execution team.
• Ensure compliance with customs, export, shipping documentation, and internal control requirements.
• Drive process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor risks, identify process gaps, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain high standards of data quality and process compliance.
• Support operational activities directly when required and act as a subject matter expert for the team.

Our requirements

• Experience in sea freight, logistics, shipping, supply chain operations, or a related field.
• Previous experience in team leadership, team coordination, or senior specialist roles with operational responsibility.
• Good understanding of international transportation processes and logistics documentation.
• Knowledge of export procedures, customs documentation, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and shipping-related documentation is an asset.
• Experience working with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is highly desirable.
• Experience in Shared Services, Global Business Services, back-office operations, or international operational environments will be an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to actively support operational execution when needed.
