Projects scheduled for release in the coming years include Aeon Trespass: Twelve Sins of Herakles , Enormity and other, as yet unannounced productions.

What you would do

  • Create concept art for characters, environments, props, and other game assets.
  • Translate gameplay, narrative, and design requirements into clear visual solutions that can be understood and built by 3D artists, animators, and developers.
  • Help establish and maintain the visual style of the game, working closely with the Art Director to develop a consistent visual language.
  • Develop visual foundations for the art pipeline, creating concepts and references that internal and external artists can use as production guides.
  • Explore multiple visual directions and iterate rapidly, moving from rough sketches to more developed concepts and polished key art where needed.
  • Contribute your own artistic ideas and proactively propose creative solutions, rather than simply executing briefs.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, Game Designers, Level Designers, Programmers, and Producers throughout prototyping and production.
  • Balance artistic expression with gameplay, readability, functionality, and production constraints, ensuring concepts are both exciting and practical to develop.
  • Create environments and worlds that communicate story, identity, mood, and function through composition, shape language, lighting, colour, and visual storytelling.
  • Create clear production-ready concept documentation, communicating materials, scale, proportions, construction, functionality, and other important design intent.
  • Iterate based on feedback from gameplay, development, Art Director, and the Creative Director, refining concepts without losing their core creative intent.
  • Provide visual inspiration and references for the wider art team, helping establish the creative bar and visual vocabulary of the project.
  • Collaborate with external/outsourcing artists where required, providing visual clarification and artistic feedback.
  • Estimate, prioritize, and plan your own work to support rapid prototyping and production deadlines.
  • Take concepts from early exploration through final polish, preparing them for handoff to downstream art and development teams.

What we require

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Concept Artist, preferably in video games.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent artistic fundamentals and conceptual design, including examples of characters, environments, props, or other game-related assets.
  • Strong understanding of composition, visual hierarchy, shape language, perspective, colour, lighting, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to translate abstract ideas, gameplay requirements, and narrative concepts into clear visual designs.
  • Ability to explore multiple visual directions and converge on a strong, coherent solution.
  • Strong understanding of how concept art translates into game production, including the practical needs and limitations of real-time assets.
  • Strong 2D concept art skills, including the ability to communicate ideas effectively through sketches, thumbnails, paintovers, and developed concept pieces.
  • Ability to work across multiple asset categories.
  • Hands-on, iterative approach to art creation, with the ability to work quickly during prototyping and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas, making informed creative decisions with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to receive and act on art direction and critique from the Creative and Art Directors and other project stakeholders.

Ideally you’ll have

  • Professional experience working on shipped video games, particularly taking concepts or features from prototype through production.
  • Experience working on stylized games, especially stylized AA/AAA, indie, or similarly art-driven projects.
  • Experience working directly with Unity.
  • Ability to concept directly in 3D or use 3D blockouts to explore composition, perspective, environments, or asset design.
  • Experience creating environment concepts and worldbuilding, including mood, atmosphere, landmarks, spatial design, and narrative-driven environments.
  • Experience contributing to or defining a visual style/art direction for a game or original IP.
  • Experience working with external/outsourced artists and providing artistic feedback.
  • Experience working from early prototypes through production and live iteration.
  • Experience in fantasy, sci-fi, games, worldbuilding, or other visual storytelling disciplines.
  • Familiarity with our games and turn-based strategy games.
