Director, Logistics Spend & Strategy

Director-level role managing clinical manufacturing and supply logistics budget and spend strategy. Responsible for cost control, process optimization, and strategic improvements within the clinical trial supply chain function, reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the CM&S logistics budget and all associated spend
• Develop and execute cost-to-serve model to allocate logistics costs to clinical studies
• Create network-wide spend visibility and billing accuracy audit capabilities
• Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities including VAT, duty, and logistics spend
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, costs, and manual effort

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years supply chain or logistics management experience
• Knowledge of logistics industry regulations and government agency requirements
• Proven experience managing large, complex logistics budgets
• Advanced digital, AI, and data literacy skills
• Strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen
• Track record delivering significant improvement projects and strategic change
• Fluent English; ability to influence cross-functionally and with external partners
