Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.

Circular Economy Consultant (Senior / Principal level)

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

We are an international engineering company providing services in the field of technical consulting, design, and investment project management.

Our GDC Poland is made of skilled experts and professionals that support local and international projects from offices located in Krakow and Warsaw. They cover the following markets:

Advanced Facilities / Water&Environment / Transportation / Energy&Power / Cities&Places

By working together in international teams and with different perspectives, we gain the experience that is our collective strength.

As a Principal / Senior Consultant in Circular Economy , you won’t just advise on sustainability—you’ll shape how industries transform. From major infrastructure to cities and transport systems, your work will directly influence how resources are used, reused, and reimagined.

You’ll lead projects that drive real decarbonisation, embed circular thinking, and deliver measurable environmental and social value. Working alongside global experts, you’ll help clients move beyond ambition into action—designing solutions that are practical, scalable, and future-ready.

This is your chance to be at the forefront of change, where your ideas don’t just stay on paper—they create lasting impact in the real world.

About the Opportunity

Join a growing, high-performing sustainability and circular economy team solving some of the most complex challenges across infrastructure, utilities, transport, and the public sector.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and deliver circular economy and sustainability programmes and projects end-to-end
  • Think at system level to drive meaningful industry changes, linking circular benefits with decarbonisation, natural capital and social value
  • Drive solutions across resource efficiency, supply chain resilience, waste-to-resource innovation, and circular procurement
  • Embed circular principles and circular economy statements into projects’ design and lifecycle
  • Drive business transformation and behavior changes for circularity
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical and strategic expertise
  • Collaborate with our global Circular Economy network to evolve leading-edge solutions
  • Support business growth, contributing to bids, proposals, and client development
  • Work closely with senior leaders, acting as a key partner within the team

You’ll be empowered to lead, influence, and innovate—without the need for direct authority—within a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and bold thinking.

Here's what you'll need

  • Strong experience in circular economy, sustainability, or environmental consulting
  • Deep technical understanding of resource efficiency, waste management, and decarbonisation
  • Proven ability to lead projects and deliver for clients in a consulting environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in report writing, proposals, and presenting complex ideas with clarity
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and coordinate across teams
  • Degree in a relevant environmental or sustainability discipline

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience in material flow analysis and supply chain risks
  • Chartered status or a relevant Master’s qualification
  • Experience in infrastructure or multidisciplinary environments
  • Knowledge of LCA, data analysis, or sustainable procurement

We offer:

  • Full-time employment contract with salary corresponding to qualifications
  • The possibility to work in the office or in a hybrid model
  • "Short Fridays" (Monday - Thursday 8.5h, Friday 6h)
  • Membership in Jacobs social networks (Women's network, One World, PRISM, Careers Network, Collectively, SpeakUp and others) and participation in initiatives related to their activities
  • Benefits package (LuxMed medical package, additional life insurance, holiday allowance, multisport card co-financing, My Benefit cafeteria system, psychological care)

We know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and we’re more creative. We accept people for who they are. Find out more about life at Jacobs.
