About the Role

We are looking for our Client an experienced Azure DevOps Architect to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and DevSecOps practices. In this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineering, security, and architecture teams to build scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud-native platforms.

You will play a key role in defining cloud strategy, driving automation initiatives, and promoting DevOps best practices across international development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure

• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Define architecture standards for cloud-native frontend, backend, and API-based applications.
• Support the deployment and lifecycle management of containerized and serverless workloads.
• Ensure cloud environments are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Drive automation initiatives across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tooling using Bash, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Optimize deployment processes and improve delivery efficiency.

Monitoring & Observability

• Manage and enhance observability platforms, including Datadog.
• Configure infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring (APM), Real User Monitoring (RUM), logging, dashboards, and alerting.
• Implement monitoring and troubleshooting solutions for cloud-native applications.

Security & DevSecOps

• Collaborate with Cyber Security and Engineering teams to embed security into cloud platforms and delivery pipelines.
• Integrate security controls, scanning tools, and compliance requirements into CI/CD processes.
• Promote secure development and operational practices across engineering teams.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Coach and mentor development teams on cloud, DevOps, and DevSecOps best practices.
• Support technical leads in adopting automated testing frameworks and engineering tooling.
• Act as a trusted advisor for cloud architecture, automation, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Work effectively within international, cross-functional teams.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and serverless technologies.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, preferably Datadog.
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with modern software architecture and cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving technology adoption.
