ER Nurse

Provide primary care and emergency nursing on site: running sick-call flow, caring for patients in holding, and keeping the clinic's medicines, cold chain and infection control to standard. 

Working on a rotation basis (length to be confirmed)

Key responsibilities  

1. Register and triage sick-call patients so each is seen within 10 minutes (KPI2); take observations, ECGs and point-of-care tests. 
2. Assess and treat within nursing scope: wound care, dressings, injections, IV/IO access, medication administration. 
3. Care for patients in holding (up to 48 beds, up to 72 hours), including gastrointestinal and respiratory isolation. 
4. Support emergency resuscitation and MASCAL response alongside physicians, paramedics and EMTs. 
5. Administer vaccinations and health promotion; maintain the vaccine cold chain. 
6. Manage pharmacy stock, controlled-drug registers, crash carts (monthly checks) and MASCAL drug packs; keep stock above the 75-day floor (KPI5) and sterile items in date (KPI3). 
7. Lead infection prevention and control, clinical waste segregation and PPE use. 
8. Keep accurate electronic patient records and contribute to daily and weekly reports. 

Essential  

• State Registration as a general / adult nurse in an EU country, Norway or the UK (e.g. NMC) 
• At least 3 years' recent clinical practice as a registered nurse 
• Current ALS/ACLS or ILS (or willing to obtain before deployment) 
• English Language Skills (Verbal & Written) 

Desirable  

• Primary care, practice nursing, emergency department or occupational health experience
• Remote, offshore, military or expedition nursing experience 
• Immunisation, pharmacy or stock-management experience 
• Ukrainian, Norwegian or Polish language skills
