Currently, for one of our clients, an international company from the packaging and industrial automation industry, we are looking for an employee for the position of UK Finance Lead .

Work location: Wrocław, Old Town.

Key responsibilities:

• Taking over responsibility for financial activities for the UK entity and acting as the main point of contact for financial matters.
• Managing the month-end closing process and preparing monthly reporting packages for the Group, including verification of sales and margin reporting.
• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information reported to the Group, acting as a key control point in the reporting process.
• Reviewing accounting data, postings, reconciliations and financial information prepared by accountants.
• Reviewing and approving payment batches in accordance with company procedures.
• Close cooperation with the Managing Director, providing financial support and analyses to support business decisions.
• Close cooperation with internal stakeholders and support functions to ensure smooth financial operations and effective execution of financial processes.
• Coordinating the preparation of statutory financial statements and acting as the main contact person for external auditors.
• Cooperation with external tax advisors and ensuring timely fulfillment of obligations related to VAT, corporate income tax (Corporation Tax) and other statutory requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with UK accounting requirements, Group policies and internal controls.
• Monitoring key financial deadlines and proactively managing risks and issues related to finance.

Candidate requirements:

• Professional experience in the role of Finance Manager / Deputy Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
• Practical experience in UK accounting processes and reporting requirements.
• Experience in month-end close, management reporting and financial control.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Good knowledge of UK statutory requirements, processes related to VAT and corporate income tax (Corporation Tax).
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility.
• Fluent English (C1/C2 level) and the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience in financial data analysis and working with reporting tools.
• Experience in an international environment will be an additional advantage.
• Experience with Power BI tools, ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One) and financial reporting tools is welcome.

• Employment based on an employment contract (temporary cover with the possibility of longer-term continuation).
• Salary: 14 000 – 18 000 PLN gross per month.
