40-50$ net hourly on B2B. This varies and depends on your experience and skills, and will also grow alongside your skills. You can count on regular and open discussions on this subject. We take a fully transparent approach to this matter. A contract of employment is also possible (Poland).
We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer to join a project supporting and enhancing a live broadcast application used by TV presenters during election coverage. This is a high-impact, high-responsibility environment – the application runs live on television, so reliability, stability, and data accuracy are critical.
Work environment
You start your day with your first cup of coffee, just the way you like it, in your own space. Maybe it’s a cappuccino with hand-whipped foam in your kitchen, a strong espresso between meetings, or (on lighter days) coconut water instead. No commute, no dress code, just your setup and a calm start to the day.
Knowledge sharing
You start your day checking the weather conditions in Brazil, Portugal, Lithuania, and San Francisco because some of your teammates are there. These are top Tech Pros, eager to share their weather updates with you as well as their expertise (not only within the projects you’re working on together but also at our regular knowledge sharing sessions, internal and external training and conferences). By the way, you can check the weather in 24 countries everyday if you are a home-grown meteorologist – we have people in all of these places ;)).
Individually tailored development path
Mid-afternoon, after a solid block of focused work and just before your daily overlap with the US East Coast team begins, you switch context for a moment. You grab a green juice (you’ve been cutting down on coffee lately — coconut water works too) and join a meeting with one of the nicest Talent Heroes you’ve ever met. She’s been supporting your growth and individual development path since day one at Scalac.
Today, you’re discussing how to use your 4,000 PLN annual development budget and company support to keep growing in your Speaker role – still deciding whether the Mentor or Writer path is the right next step.
Community
You finish your day by hanging out with folks from the Scala community who are taking part in one of Scalac’s Meetups for Scala Community (it could be a Functional World we host or one of many more we support). You have a great discussion with them about the recent open-source projects we support and end your day positively inspired (or if you happened to be a speaker, with a job-well-done feeling proud that you inspire others).
What are the benefits?
- 4,000 PLN ($1,060) net dedicated to your personalized development budget
- 1,000 PLN ($265) net dedicated to developing your language skills (English)
- Unlimited book budget
- You choose the equipment you want to work with. We make sure it's the best and update it regularly
Technologies that we work with
- Node.js + TypeScript
- Data Store: Redis (caching, TTL, pub/sub, queues, data structures)
- APIs (REST, potentially real-time integrations)
What do we expect from you?
- 5+ years of strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Hands‑on experience with Redis
- Experience building systems where availability and correctness are critical
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage projects end‑to‑end
- Daily overlap with US East Coast working hours (EST/EDT)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
A bit more about your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services for a mission‑critical live broadcasting application
- Design and implement solutions with a strong focus on reliability, fast iteration, and production stability
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency under real‑time conditions
- Collaborate closely with the client’s team and communicate progress in a clear and transparent way
- Write automated tests and uphold high quality standards required for live production environments
