The company is made up of people with a huge client base in the country and abroad, for whom we build projects from scratch (UX, UI, frontend, backend, mobile) or in part. We work directly for our clients and also support our partners in their own solutions. This ensures a wide range of projects and the ability to change! We work with clients all over the world.
For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Lead Backend Engineer & Architect (Node.js | TypeScript | AI).

 

Your duties will include: 

  • Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS .
  • Drive architectural decisions and document them using Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
  • Design and implement distributed, event-driven systems.
  • Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Design efficient PostgreSQL data models and optimize complex queries.
  • Own backend security, authentication, authorization, and data isolation strategies.
  • Collaborate on AI-powered features and backend integrations with LLMs.
  • Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to technical strategy while remaining actively involved in software development.

 

Requirements that must be met:

  • 7+ years of commercial backend development experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS in production environments.
  • Proven experience designing and operating high-scale distributed systems serving hundreds of thousands of users.
  • Strong architectural background with demonstrated ownership of backend platforms and technical decisions.
  • Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL , including:
    • query optimization,
    • execution plans,
    • indexing,
    • transactions,
    • using raw SQL when appropriate.
  • Experience designing asynchronous and event-driven systems, including:
    • queues,
    • retries,
    • idempotency,
    • background job processing (e.g. BullMQ).
  • Strong understanding of backend security, including:
    • OAuth 2.0,
    • RBAC/ABAC,
    • OWASP,
    • audit logging,
    • secrets management,
    • permission boundaries.
  • Experience implementing multitenant architectures, data isolation, and Row-Level Security (RLS)-style patterns.
  • Experience writing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and leading technical design decisions.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted or agentic coding workflows while maintaining high engineering quality standards.
  • Very good English and Polish
