Offer Description

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Warsaw invites applications for the position of Professor (R4 – Researcher with a professor degree) in the field of Medical Sciences . This is a full-time (100%) position based on a permanent employment contract, with an anticipated start date of October 2026 . The successful candidate will conduct scientific research in the field of medical and health sciences, deliver teaching in basic, preclinical, and clinical courses at the Faculty of Medicine, including activities involving the protection of minors, and participate in the organizational activities of the University of Warsaw. The position is intended for an academic teacher specializing in internal medicine, nephrology, and endocrinology , offering opportunities for professional development within a leading academic institution.

Skills/Qualifications

1. 1.Conducting scientific activity in the field of medical sciences and health sciences, including within the R4 – researcher with a professor degree.
2. 2. Teaching basic, preclinical, and clinical courses at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Warsaw, including activities involving the protection of minors.
3. 3. Participating in organizational activities carried out for the benefit of the University of Warsaw.
4. 4. Fulfilment of the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, consolidated text).
5. 5. Academic title of Professor.
6. 6. Current professional experience in internal medicine, nephrology, and endocrinology – at least 10 years.
7. 7. Valid medical license to practice medicine.

Specific Requirements

1. 1. Experience in university-level teaching – at least 10 years.
2. 2. Declared proficiency in Polish and English sufficient to teach courses in both languages.
3. 3. Authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications in the relevant field of specialization, published in journals included on the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education list with a cumulative score of at least 7,000 points, or in journals indexed in databases with an Impact Factor (the so-called Philadelphia List) – minimum required total score: 200 points.
4. 4. Dissemination of innovative teaching practices among academic staff, including the delivery of courses, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
5. 5. Organization of and/or participation in scientific conferences.
6. 6. Teaching skills, including the ability to communicate knowledge to students in a clear and inspiring manner.
