Basic Information

Location: 100% remote (approximately once per year, a 4-day business trip to the Netherlands)
Rate:
Senior: up to 180 PLN/hour net + VAT
Mid-level: up to 145 PLN/hour net + VAT
Employment Type: B2B Contract
Contract Length: 12 months with possible extensions

About the Role

The Consultant / Data Engineer will support clients in bridging traditional enterprise data platforms with modern cloud technologies. The person will participate in data integration and migration projects, leveraging the capabilities of the Informatica platform as well as Microsoft analytics and AI solutions, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI.

Responsibilities

1. ETL/ELT Design & Development - Design and develop ETL/ELT processes using Informatica platforms (PowerCenter or IDMC/IICS) and Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Synapse Spark.

2. Data Migration & Integration - Support migration of data processes and data warehouses from on-premises environments and Informatica-based systems to the OneLake repository within Microsoft Fabric.

3. Data Modeling & Data Quality - Ensure compliance with Data Governance standards, maintain high data quality, and manage Data Lineage across Informatica and Microsoft environments.

4. AI Implementation - Utilize built-in AI capabilities such as Microsoft Fabric Copilot and Azure OpenAI Services to automate and optimize data processing workflows.

5. Business Consulting - Collaborate with architects and clients to optimize information flows within hybrid data architectures.

Candidate Profile

- 3-4 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Consultant.
- Informatica: Hands-on experience with Informatica tools, including: PowerCenter, Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Informatica Data Quality
- Microsoft: Experience with Azure services, including: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
- Technical Skills: Strong SQL skills (advanced level), Python (PySpark is a plus)
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, Ability to clearly communicate project status and work effectively with stakeholders

Nice to Have

- Microsoft Certifications: DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer)
- Informatica certifications
- Knowledge of: Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance
- Understanding of Power BI and its integration with semantic data models
