Senior Software/Firmware Engineer – C++

The Krakow Camera Firmware team is seeking a skilled Senior Software/Firmware Engineer with C++ to join our team. You will collaborate on cutting‑edge technology and help develop innovative smart camera solutions for public safety and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement advanced software modules that follow modern C++ design patterns.
• Develop and debug Linux device drivers.
• Create design documents on software design and algorithms.
• Maintain and improve build system using Make, CMake, Python, and Docker.
• Peer review code for adherence to best practices, design guidelines, and coding standards.
• Use AI development tools efficiently.
• Support team members in achieving technical goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong C++ programming skills (experience with C++17 a plus).
• Experience with scripting languages, especially Python.
• Practical knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern software design.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including build environments and automated testing.
• Familiarity with AI‑augmented software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI).
• English language skills sufficient for efficient communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with embedded Linux development for ARM target processors.
• Knowledge of operating system concepts: processes, threads, mutexes, interrupt handling, exception handling.
• Understanding of digital imaging/photography, audio/video coding, and video streaming.
• Experience with TCP/IP and network programming.
