We are recruiting for Acrisure, a global fintech and insurance solutions company that is significantly expanding its presence in Poland through a new operational hub in Gdańsk. Located in Olivia Centre, the Gdańsk office will support Acrisure's growing international operations across key functions including Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Compliance, IT, Cybersecurity and HR. The role sits within an international environment focused on collaboration, process standardization, and the development of modern finance tools. The successful candidate will actively participate in transformation activities related to the implementation of Workday Financials.

Your responsibilities

• Own the quality and integrity of finance processes, including P2P, O2C, R2R, treasury, tax, fixed assets, and broking-related accounting.
• Coordinate the month-end close, including the timetable, approvals, segregation of duties, and readiness of supporting documentation.
• Perform core accounting activities, including in-month postings, accruals, allocations, account reconciliations, and query resolution.
• Prepare management reporting packs, variance commentary, and clear explanations for business stakeholders.
• Act as the day-to-day contact for the onshore Romania Finance team, managing priorities, queries, and escalations.
• Organize and monitor team priorities, deadlines, controls, workload, and the weekly work plan.
• Review the work of the Staff Accountant and support their development through coaching, training, feedback, and operating procedures.
• Support external reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardize procedures and templates.
• Participate in the Workday Financials implementation, including data validation, testing, knowledge transfer, and issue resolution

Our requirements

• 3-5 years of experience across accounting operations and end-to-end finance processes.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and their impact on accounting, reporting, and controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to organize work, manage priorities, review the work of others, and maintain quality standards.
• Experience working with onshore or business stakeholders.
• Understanding of data integrity, transactional controls, and financial compliance.

Optional

• Romanian language skills.
• ACCA, CIMA, or a comparable professional qualification.
• Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting an ERP implementation, testing, or process transition.
• Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
