About the project

We are looking for a Production Engineering Specialist to join our client's team in the Payments IT department. The team is responsible for the technical operations of Global Payments Execution, Messaging & Orchestration and Sanctions & Investigation services.

Operating under Site Reliability Engineering principles in a mission-critical environment, the team works across a wide range of technologies – from vendor solutions to in-house developed microservices. The main business drivers are service availability and platform stability in the rapidly evolving real-time payments landscape.

Your responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Production Support, including incident resolution and post-resolution problem management.
• Perform root cause analysis for major system issues.
• Install software releases from vendors and implement locally developed solutions (Shell, Java, Bash, Python).
• Support various testing activities related to new implementations.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Review, design, and re-engineer processes using new technologies to improve performance.
• Drive service capability enhancements and process improvements.
• Analyze architecture using appropriate tools and validate implementation and testing results.
• Perform data analysis and reconciliation to support root cause analysis.
• Contribute effectively to team objectives, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading activities.
• Note: Detailed project information will be shared during the recruitment process.

Our requirements

• 3+ years' experience in SQL/PL-SQL and Linux.
• 2+ years' experience with Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture.
• Scripting experience (Bash and at least one from: Python, Java) for automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring systems and performance tuning.
• Fluency in English (spoken & written).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.

Optional

• Experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, Puppet/Ansible.
• Knowledge of payments industry.
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environment and production support.
