Competencies we value:
Proficiency in Python 3.x (OOP, clean code, type hints)
Experience building REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
Experience with relational/non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)
Git, Docker, and basic CI/CD experience
Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Writing tests as a habit, not an afterthought (pytest)
Proficient in English
How we use AI
AI at Idego isn't a slide deck bullet point, it's how we work. The team actively uses AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) every day. We expect you to be genuinely comfortable working with these tools and curious enough to push them further.
You don't need to be an AI researcher. You do need to treat AI as a real lever, not a novelty. We expect AI tools to be part of your toolkit - not because we mandate it, but because the team building here already works that way.
