Packaging Engineer - Gifting - Package Innovation (Office Based)

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of bringing innovative gifting and packaging ideas to life, managing the full journey from concept through to launch. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong project coordination to ensure packaging solutions are not only creative and consumer-focused but also practical, compliant, and ready for production. Working across global teams, you’ll play an important role in ensuring timelines are met, risks are managed, and all processes are aligned to deliver high-quality packaging that enhances the Avon brand and customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading end-to‑end development of packaging for giftable products and gift sets, from initial concept to commercial launch.
• Managing project governance, timelines, and risk to ensure smooth delivery across all stages of packaging development and NPI.
• Coordinating component and artwork development, including approvals, supplier alignment, and colour standards.
• Creating and maintaining accurate specifications, data, and Bills of Materials to support production and supply chain systems.
• Supporting pilot runs, line trials, and validation to ensure packaging is production‑ready and meets technical requirements.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
• Identifying opportunities to improve packaging innovation by staying up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in packaging development within cosmetics, pharma, or consumer goods.
• A degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, suppliers, and development processes.
• Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting ideas to stakeholders.
• A creative and commercially aware mindset with a focus on delivering consumer‑driven solutions.
• Ability to work across global teams with cultural awareness and collaboration.
• A problem‑solver who can balance cost, quality, and speed to deliver results.
